Many years ago, the governments lead fishermen to expel the birds away from fish pond. Today, nurses and fishermen reduce the water level of ponds to attract waterbirds every year. Artist make eaves like migratory birds flying and spreading. It covers the rain and shades; it symbolizes the villagers' turning from the traditional method of fish farming to the good faith of fish and birds symbiosis.

The work “Water Bird” was presented in the project “Fish Pond Sustainable Art Festival”, which was held in January 2018, The project was organized by Art Together and Hong Kong Bird Watching Society, with a view to further promoting the core concept - sustainable living.

許多年前，漁農署帶領漁民在大生圍村製作裝置，趕逐吃魚鳥；今天，保育者與漁民年年降低塘水水位吸引水鳥停留；製作像候鳥飛翔展翅的屋簷，裝置在儲存魚糧的倉庫上，遮陰擋雨；它代表保育者的環保意志，也象徵村民從傳統養魚方法轉向魚鳥共生的美好信念。
