This was a community art project in Carter Road, Mumbai. Inside a community called Mum 52, the open area is shared
by all the villagers. This is their market, playground and car park. By painting a cricket court in unusual colourful dotted line
by the artist and young villagers, the hidden cricket court was stated and highlighted. It represented the concept of “public
space” in the mind of local people. Mum 52 cricket court became a reference for other villages nearby. They created their
own playgrounds in front of the building and in the narrow alley. Their team name and the word "NO PARKING" were even
written on the wall, these are their graffiti showing their needs and imagination of space.
